Over our 3 day festival you will have the opportunity to attend classes and workshops in different types of yoga and movement practices. These workshops have been specially curated for Scapa Fest and will allow you to discover, further explore and enjoy the various physical and mental benefits each style can bring you. At Scapa Fest, yoga is our way of being.
Wherever you are on your mindful movement journey, beginner or daily practitioner, we offer you the opportunity to engage fully and creatively with your physical body. Whatever your desired focus: whether you’re seeking an energetic, strength-focused practice; a perfectly crafted flowing sequence; relaxing long-held poses; an acrobatic balancing act; or to simply learn the foundations of the physical practice of yoga, Scapa Fest gives you the opportunity to learn from some of the world's best teachers and our most outstanding local instructors.

What to expect from Scapa Fest
Nestled between the calm of mature woodland and the water’s edge you’ll have the opportunity to take your yoga practice from sunrise to sunset. Scapa Fest 2018 will be held from Friday May 4th to Sunday May 6th 2018 on the grounds of the stunning Ardkinglas Estate looking over the shores of Loch Fyne on the West Coast of Scotland. We offer classes and workshops for all levels and styles:
Vinyasa Flow: An alignment-based, dynamic practice that links movement and breath in a flowing, creative sequence.
Forrest Yoga: Renowned as an intensely physical and internally focused practice that emphasises how to carry a transformative experience off the mat and into daily life. The practice challenges students to access their whole being and to use Forrest Yoga as a path to finding and then cleansing the emotional and mental blocks that dictate and limit their lives. Students cultivate an acute awareness of their own practice and life process, creating a unique and powerful opportunity for them to make practical life decisions based on their own experiences.
Yin Yoga: a gentle and relaxing practice sequencing long-held seated poses.
Family yoga: both the parent and the child practicing together.
Yoga for Youth and Teens: focused on developing self-discovery and physical and emotional resilience in children and teenagers.
